About Rae Hood

Nice to meet you! I’m a gender queer photographer based in Seattle, Washington.

My community has always been my main source of inspiration for my photography. I am surrounded by folks who embody resilience, authenticity, and boundless creativity here in Seattle and for that I am forever grateful.

We all hold so much magic within us, and it's this magic that I strive to capture through my photography. Each person I photograph becomes a part of a larger narrative, a testament to the strength, beauty, and diversity that exist within our community. My goal is to use photography as a tool to tell inspiring stories and showcase the unique essence of each individual I encounter along the way.

Through my photography, I seek to celebrate the multifaceted identities and experiences of queer and trans people, highlighting the beauty and resilience that is intertwined in our existence. Every image I create is a reminder of the power of community and joy as a form or resistance.
